How much does a catamaran charter in Croatia cost in 2027?

Active Cruises7 min read

In 2027 a week on a catamaran in Croatia costs 3.000 € to 51.300 € for the boat, depending on size and month. Our Lagoon 43, the usual choice for eight guests, costs 5.000–12.500 € a week. The Lagoon 47, for up to ten guests, costs 6.900–16.600 €.

These are 2027 list prices from our booking system, before early-booking discounts. They are per boat per week, not per person. I’m Miha and I do the bookings at Active Cruises, so these are the same numbers I put in offers.

A range means the price changes from week to week inside that month. Prices can change, so check the live weekly grid on each boat page before you decide.

EUR, per boat per week, 2027 list price before early-booking discounts.

Every boat follows the same pattern. July and August cost the most, April and October the least. On the Lagoon 43 an April week costs 5.000 €, well under half the 12.500 € of a July week.

The Lagoon 43 and 47 are new boats, model years 2025 and 2027. The Lagoon 46 is from 2022 and the Lagoon 51 from 2026. If you’re not sure which size you need, read which catamaran size to choose.

What the extras cost

The boat price is for the boat. Most guests add a few weekly extras. These are 2027 prices from our booking system.

Extra (per week)PriceNotes
Comfort package700 € on most boats600 € on Lagoon 38, 900 € on Lagoon 51, 1.000 € on Lagoon 65, included on Lagoon 55
Captain1.600 €1.800 € on Lagoon 51, included on Lagoon 55
Hostess1.400 €1.600 € on Lagoon 65, included on Lagoon 55

The Comfort package covers check-in documents, final cleaning, bed linen, towels and beach towels. It also has the dinghy with motor, bathroom and kitchen essentials and the marina eco fee.

You need a captain if nobody in your group has a recognised sailing licence and a VHF certificate. With our captain on board the security deposit is 0 €. Our captains are Igor, Josip, Mauro, Jon, Žan and Ante, and they know which konobas give free mooring. That saves money every night you don’t pay a marina.

A hostess does the shopping, cooks breakfast and lunch on board and keeps the boat tidy. Dinner is usually ashore.

On our own boats (Lagoon 43, 46, 47 and 51) some things are free. You get 2 SUP boards, snorkelling gear and a hands-on sailing course, and you can use our private buoy in Bol on Brač.

Paid toys start at 150 € for an extra SUP. A seabob is 1.600 € and up. The full list is in what is included in a catamaran charter.

Costs you pay during the week

Some costs can’t go in any offer, because they depend on how you sail.

  • Marinas and buoys: usually 50–200 € per night. Anchoring is free, and many konobas give you free mooring if you eat there.
  • Fuel: usually about 300 € per week. More sailing and less motoring brings it down.
  • Food and drinks: shopping, dinners ashore, drinks.
  • Tourist tax: a small tax for the boat. You get the exact amount in the offer.
  • Security deposit (bareboat only): from 2.000 €, depending on the boat. Paid at the base by card or cash and returned after check-out.

Worked example: 8 guests on a Lagoon 43, crewed, July vs June

Eight adults book the Lagoon 43 with captain, hostess and the Comfort package, at 2027 list prices.

I count three marina nights at about 150 € each. The other nights are at anchor or on a free konoba mooring. Food, drinks and tourist tax are not in the total.

Same boat, same crew, same group. June is 2.900 € cheaper, about 363 € per person.

The Lagoon 43 currently shows a 17 % early-booking discount on 2027 weeks. On the July boat price that is 2.125 € off.

For ten guests, take the Lagoon 47, our 2027 boat for 8 adults and 2 children. It costs 16.600 € in July and from 12.400 € in June. With the same extras, fuel and marinas that is 21.050 € in July, 2.105 € per person, or 16.850 € in June, 1.685 € per person. The Lagoon 47 currently shows a 7 % early-booking discount. Discounts change, so ask me for your exact week.

How to save on a catamaran charter in Croatia

Go in May, June or September. May and October are quieter and cheaper. June and September are the sweet spot for weather and price. July and August are peak, with warm water and a busy coast.

Book early. Early-booking discounts on 2027 weeks are 5–19 % right now, depending on the boat.

Anchor more. Every night at anchor instead of a marina saves 50–200 €. Dinner at a konoba with free mooring saves the fee too.

Sail when there’s wind. Fuel is usually about 300 € a week. A captain who puts the sails up whenever he can keeps it lower.

Start on Friday. Our Lagoon 43, 46 and 47 check in on Friday at no extra cost. The other boats check in on Saturday. You’re out a day before the Saturday rush, the first anchorage (the Blue Lagoon on Drvenik) is almost empty, and marinas are easier to get into.

Don’t pay for empty cabins. Four adults and two kids fit well on a Lagoon 38. You don’t need a 46 for that.

Talk to one person. When you book with us, you deal with me from the first email to check-in. I know the boats and the captains, so I can tell you where the money goes and where you can cut. A big agency or booking platform often passes you between people who have never seen the boat.

FAQ

Is the catamaran charter price per person or per boat?

Per boat per week. A Lagoon 43 at 9.600 € in June costs the same for four guests or eight. More people means a lower cost per head.

Is a skipper included in the price?

Only on the Lagoon 55 Lady M, where captain and hostess are included. On the other boats a captain is 1.600 € per week, or 1.800 € on the Lagoon 51. You need one if nobody has a recognised sailing licence and VHF certificate.

What is the cheapest month to charter a catamaran in Croatia?

April and October have the lowest 2027 prices. A Lagoon 38 or Lagoon 42 starts at 3.000 € a week then. Our season runs from late April to mid-November.

How do I pay for the charter?

30–50 % at booking and the rest 30 days before check-in. We take IBAN transfer, a US checking account, card, PayPal or crypto.

Can I cancel and get my money back?

Yes, in full, if you cancel within 72 hours of booking and the charter starts at least 60 days later. After that, cancelling is free only in force majeure, such as a border closure. Otherwise you get a credit note once we re-sell your week, so take travel insurance.

Send me your dates on WhatsApp or through the booking page. I’ll reply with the boat price, the current discount and the tourist tax for your week.
